SOLUTION:
A whole set of solutions have been developed to be used next to the computer, embedded in the wall or inside a communication box.
GOAL:
To develop a card based on a low-cost FPGA, capable of controlling a color image sensor, processing the image and compressing it in H264 to transmit it through a high-speed serial port to the customer’s communications electronics. In addition, the FPGA had to accommodate the customer’s application for keyboard control, signaling and sending and receiving audio.
SOLUTION:
The hardware solution is based on the customer’s initial specifications for size, shape and main parts. Integrating the design within its document system. To run the client’s software application, an internal FPGA architecture was created based on the NIOS-II synthesizable processor, which was equipped with all the necessary peripherals for the treatment of the video chain, control of the audio codecs and other elements.
